6" Thick Acoustic Foam Wedges
Each panel measures 12" x 12" x 6". Each case contains 24 panels for a total of 24 square feet of coverage.
The extra 6-inch depth provides substantially more material for sound absorption than thinner acoustic foam. This makes these panels an excellent choice when stronger broadband and low-frequency absorption is needed.
Panel Size: 12" x 12" x 6"
Case Quantity: 24 panels
Coverage: 24 sq ft
NRC: 0.95
NRC 0.95 Sound Absorption
These 6" wedge panels have an NRC rating of 0.95. Their deep wedge profile provides excellent broadband absorption and is especially useful when greater low-frequency absorption is desired.
Absorption coefficients:
125 Hz: 0.59
250 Hz: 0.88
500 Hz: 0.95
1000 Hz: 0.95
2000 Hz: 1.06
4000 Hz: 1.07
Why Choose 6" Acoustic Foam?
More depth means more absorption. At 6 inches thick, these panels provide more material for sound waves to travel through than standard 1", 2" or 3" foam panels.
Excellent for low-frequency control. The added thickness improves absorption deeper into the frequency range, making 6" foam a strong option for recording studios, control rooms and other critical listening spaces.
Control reflections and reverberation. Use the panels on walls and ceilings to reduce reflections, flutter echo and excessive room reverb.
Best For
✔ Recording studios
✔ Mixing and mastering rooms
✔ Home theaters
✔ Podcast and broadcast rooms
✔ Vocal booths
✔ Music practice rooms
✔ Rooms needing stronger broadband absorption
Where Should 6" Wedge Panels Be Installed?
Start with the first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling. Additional panels can be placed on the front and rear walls to further reduce reflections and reverberation.
Because these panels are 6" thick, they are also useful in areas where low-frequency buildup is a concern. For dedicated corner treatment, combine them with SoundAssured bass traps.
Choose From 13 Colors
Colors may appear different on screens due to lighting and display settings. We do our best to show accurate colors, but variations can occur. If unsure, we recommend ordering an acoustic foam swatch pack before purchasing a full case.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big are the 6" wedge panels?
Each panel measures 12" x 12" and is 6" thick at the tallest point of the wedge.
How many panels come in a case?
Each case contains 24 panels and covers 24 square feet.
What is the NRC rating?
The 6" wedge acoustic foam has an NRC rating of 0.95 based on third-party laboratory testing.
Why would I choose 6" foam instead of thinner acoustic foam?
The additional depth provides more material for sound absorption and improves performance at lower frequencies. It is a good choice for studios, control rooms and other spaces where stronger broadband absorption is desired.
Where should I install 6" acoustic foam?
Start with first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling. Additional treatment can be placed on front and rear walls or in other areas where reflections and reverberation are strongest.
Will 6" acoustic foam soundproof my room?
No. Acoustic foam is designed to improve sound quality inside a room by absorbing reflections and reducing reverberation. It is not designed to block sound transmission through walls, ceilings or floors.
Can the panels be cut?
Yes. Acoustic foam can be carefully cut with a sharp electric carving knife, scissors or a sharp utility knife.
Are these panels fire rated?
Yes. SoundAssured polyurethane acoustic foam has a Class A fire rating. Refer to the installation and product care guide for test
