How to tune a kalimba
- Check the note with any chromatic tuner or tuner app.
- Shorter tine = higher note, longer tine = lower note.
- To raise a note, set the tool against the tip of the tine and tap it gently so less of the tine sticks out past the bridge.
- To lower a note, tap from the back end so more of the tine sticks out.
- Tap a little at a time and recheck after each tap.
